SWE HLAING HTET A.K.A. DARKO
Darko is the daily leader of Turning Tables Myanmar in Yangon and in charge of planning and implementing our projects and events throughout Myanmar. With his passion for underground music and socio-political issues,he inspires the Turning Tables Myanmar team and supplies technical support for the instructors in music and film production. As the vocalist-guitarist of the Yangon-based indie punk band, Side Effect, Darko has been rocking, irrepressibly, since 2004 and his songs embody the passionate resilience of youth in Myanmar.
AUNG HEIN THET
Aung has a sparkling childhood passion for film and got his first diploma in TV broadcasting from the Myanmar Media Development Center in 2013. Since then he has been working as a freelance film director and Joined the Turning Tables Myanmar team in the fall of 2015. Here he is responsible for the production of music videos and conducting participatory film trainings.
HTET MYAT AUNG
Htet Myat Aung aka. Htet Htet has been working with Turning Tables since 2015. He is a hardworking logistic master mind that always lead from the front and carry the team with his positive attitude. He is currently project manger of The Voice of the Youth social cohesion program 2016.
Khaing Wai Myint
Khaing had worked as an accountant in Singapore since 2010 and came back to Myanmar in 2017. She joined one of the NGOs which empower women in 2017 as AFO and currently, she is working in Turning Tables Myanmar as Finance officer
Kyaw Min Khaing
Kyaw Min Khaing studied in Yangon Institute of Economics and he loves to play football and listen to music. He worked for Asia World Co., Ltd, which is one of the biggest investment companies in Myanmar as an accountant and finance, over 7 yrs (2008 – 2015). He is now proud to be working with Turning Tables Myanmar as Finance Officer.
Hein Lwin joined the Turning Tables Myanmar team in 2016. He is the bass guitarist of the Yangon based indie punk band, Side Effect, and has previously organised events in Yangon's undeground music scene for three years.
Luis Gustavo Florez Cote
Luis has been working for more than 8 years in the field of peacebuilding, development and humanitarian affairs. He holds a master in peace and conflict studies in Austria and in International Affairs and Diplomacy in Australia. He is a Build Up Fellow, responsible for the development of the first Myanmar music-making app which will invigorate TTM peace and social cohesion efforts and strengthen the VOY community. In September 2018 he joined TTM team as a Program Manager.
Su Nwe Win @ Samantha
Thandar Lin Khiang
DIRECTOR OF STORYTELLING
Thandar has 5 years experience in sales and marketing, customer service, and communication. She is a former volunteer teacher, stray animal rescue activist and freelance career consultant for youth in Myanmar. She deeply and strongly believes in gender equality, human rights, equality before the law and equal opportunities to education. She is fighting for all human beings to enjoy freedom of speech by expressing their thoughts and ideas in a non-violent way, whilst living peacefully without fear of speaking up
Thandar holds a BA in English, a National Tour Guide license, a diploma in Business Management and Administration and a General Management Certificate.
Saw Myo Nwe Htoo
MUSIC INSTRUCTOR & PRODUCER
By combining his professional skills in audio engineering and music production with his curious and creative mind, Saw Myo Nwe Htoo experiments with a variety of sounds and genres to generate new ideas and audio projects. He also expresses his artcistic skills as the drummer of Yangon based indie punk band, Side Effect.
Soe Moe Aung
Soe Moe Aung is the oldest (and wisest) member of Turning Tables Myanmar. He enriches the team with knowledge about politics and protest in Myanmar with his personal stories of success and failure. Soe Moe has valuable work experience from a range of different fields and occupations. He joined Turning Tables Myanmar in 2015.
Hein Htet is a multi skilled artist with a strong passion for music, especially hip hop and progressive and modern rap rock, sculpting and painting. He has a solo rapping project, has been the producer of the hip hop band, MJN, since 2008, and founded the progressive/modern rap rock band, Out of the Rule, in 2014. In 2017, Hein Htet started exploring the art of sculpting and painting, and has pursued this interest ever since. He joined Turning Tables Myanmar in 2018.
Yee Mon Swe (Wendy Swe)
CULTURE OPERATIONS MANAGER
Wendy is born and raised in Yangon where she spent most of her youth before pursuing a career in Singapore from 2009-2017. She is now working with Turning Tables Myanmar. She has vast experience in management, sales, and organisational administration and coordination from working with United Nations Population Fund, tourism companies, and private enterprises in Singapore.
Wendy’s educational background includes an English diploma, a major in Chemistry, and a diploma in Business Administration majoring in Human Resource Management from PSB Academy in Singapore.
